Mission: The Artists, Community and Teaching program offers student artists a cutting edge model that meets the contemporary challenges of training pre K-12 arts educators entering a challenging public school system. ACT provides student artists with:
- A well-rounded education in their studio art major.
- A foundation in arts and education practice and theory.
- An overview of career opportunities in teaching the arts.
- An abbreviated pathway to the art credential offered by the State of California.

- Parents and co-founders of the Westchester Playa del Rey Education Foundation (WPEF).
- Staff from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
- Faculty from magnet schools Loyola Village Fine and Performing Arts Elementary, Westchester.
- Faculty from magnet schools Paseo Natural Science Elementary and Playa del Rey.
- Instructors from Orville Wright Middle School, Westchester; Westchester High School; and Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, at Culver City High School.
